Simon Foster

Simon has 20+ years in Leadership Development and over 10 years as a Coach. Coupled with his extensive knowledge of working in client-facing growth roles this brings a pragmatism to his coaching, He has a passion for seeing people fulfil their potential. With his experience managing teams through 7 different mergers, acquisitions and restructures, he has seen first-hand the impact of improving communication, influencing and team development skills.

Simon provides a safe space so that the coachee can open up and explore short-term opportunities for change, linking them to medium- and long-term goals, both professional and personal. He often uses data as a starting point, be it 360 feedback or psychometric data. He is challenging in a supportive way, helping people to look at things from a different perspective in order to build and flex their leadership style. He gives them the tools to improve their impact, particularly with regard to gravitas and brand to realise their career objectives.

He particularly enjoys helping technical experts move into leadership, helping them to review what their team needs from them to flourish, rather than what has led to success in their career to date. He also has wide experience in working with people who are neurodivergent, helping them to navigate the world of work. He helps build the confidence of his coachees and enables them to achieve their goals.

Before moving into leadership development Simon held senior roles for a global financial services company in the UK and Europe. This hands-on business experience enables him to bring a practical, goal-orientated approach to his coaching. He has been coaching professionals for over ten years at all levels from CEO to first line managers in both the public, private and charity sectors.
